About Small Change

Small Change is an adventurous young company committed to making new performances of the highest quality that will appeal to a wide audience. The company is dedicated to accessible, entertaining and thought provoking theatre accompanied by imaginative design and an evocative soundtrack.

Dominic Fitch, Paula Burton, Laura Inskip and Nic Fryer formed Small Change in 2001 after graduating from different universities. Their first production was Long Wave , which won a judges' company award for innovation at the National Student Drama Festival 2002 and was subsequently performed at Birmingham Repertory Theatre and bac's Octoberfest as well as touring to venues in Leeds and Bath.

Small Change followed this success with Red Velvet, which was commissioned by the Nuffield Theatre Lancaster Emerging Artists Programme and was awarded funding by Arts Council England.

Their current production Quicksleeve's Pledge will premiere at Camden People's Theatre in July before appearing at the Latitude Festival for a national tour.
